The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and may shut on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house by using a combined gross domestic earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of income.
